Update: March 6, 2022

‘Then Noah and his family left the ark and he built an altar to the Lord.

He took clean animals and birds and offered burnt offerings to the Lord.

The Lord smelled the pleasing aroma, and said in his heart,

“I will never again curse the ground because of man even though the intention of man’s heart is evil from his youth. Neither will I ever again strike down  every living creature as I have done. While the earth remains, seed time and harvest,  cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease. I have established  my covenant with you and every living creature for all future generations:

I have set my rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth. I will remember my everlasting covenant between me and you and every living creature.”’

Excerpts from Genesis 8 and 9

Update: February 27, 2022

I will sing to the Lord for he has triumphed gloriously;

He has hurled the horse and rider into the sea.

The Lord is my strength and my song; He has given me victory.

This is my God, and I will praise him—my Father’s God and I will exalt him.

Your right hand, O Lord, is glorious in power.

Your right hand, O Lord, smashes the enemy.

In the greatness of your majesty, you overthrow those who rise against you.

Who is like you among the gods, O Lord—

Glorious in holiness, Awesome in splendor,

Performing great wonders?

With your unfailing love you lead the people you have redeemed.

In your might, you guide them to your sacred home.

“Put on, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which you were called. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:12, 14-17
